Scott G. Moulton is a Partner with Capital Management Group and manages our firm's corporate retirement offering. Scott joined Capital Management Group in 2010 and has worked as a financial consultant since 2000. Prior to joining Capital Management Group, he was a financial consultant with The MONY Group which was later acquired by AXA Advisors, LLC. Over the years, Scott has focused on corporate benefit planning and wealth management.

Scott is a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Early in his career he achieved the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designation from the Institute of Business Finance and later went on to become an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). In 2017 Scott became a Professional Plan Consultant (PPC) and in 2018 he became an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA). Scott has a Retirement Planning Specialist certificate from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is credentialed by Fi360 to deliver FEDC (Fiduciary Essentials for Defined Contribution Plans) training. Scott is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He has been the recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager award from Connecticut Magazine from 2010-2013, again in 2015, 2017 and 2018. In 2017, and again in 2018, Scott was featured in the September edition of The Financial Times as a Top 401(k) Adviser.

As an active member of the community, Scott has been involved with The Devon Rotary Club of Milford since 2003, where he served as Club President in 2012-2013. He has been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow and in 2015 Scott was awarded the Norm Parcell’s award for his years of service and dedication to Rotary. He currently sits on The Devon Rotary Foundation Trust board of directors.

In 2014, Scott served as The Chairman of The Board for the Milford Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in numerous committees for the Milford Chamber of Commerce since his involvement in 2000. Scott continued to serve the Milford community in 2015 as the President of Milford Progress Inc. (MPI). Additionally, Scott has sat on multiple Boards for The City of Milford including The Board of Finance. In 2006, he was a member of the New Haven Business Times “40 under 40” class in recognition of his community involvement and professional achievements. In 2016, Scott was honored by The United Way of Milford with the “Spirit of Milford” award. In 2017, Scott became a member of The Milford Bank Board of Corporators.

Scott lives in Milford, Connecticut, with his wife Diane and their four children; Claire, Avery, Reid, and Emme. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, boating, golfing, coaching Reid’s little league team and watching all four children compete in a variety of sports.
